I think the brains at Intel were out to lunch when they came up with the Atom processor. Or, are we all just suckers for buying cheap crap pretending to be something more than what it is. I normally read reviews before i buy anything. i got caught out when i asked for a netbook for xmas 3years ago. like what the earlier submission stated the netbook is lovely and small. It is when you try to use it that you feel like throwing it against the window. In this day and age why use such an underpowered processor. most smartphones have better screens and response times than my Asus Eee rubbish. yes it is cheap and no i was not expecting to launch a satalite on its processing power but it would be nice to open a web page before the kettle boils the water for my tea. Yes it would be nice to get what you paid for. I can put money that most who own one would agree with what has been said in the previous submiossions.I certainly would not of obtained one if i could turn the clocks back. It is SOOOOO irritating to use, every time i even just want to do something simple, like scroll down a web page, there's a delay between me moving the mouse wheel, or clicking on the scroll bar, and it actually responding. Perhaps the newest dual core Atom's, like the D510 and D525, with better video, could handle these demands better than the N270 era chips? If you look at CPU benchmark ratings, the N270 comes in at about 304 (about the same as a P4, 2.4 GHz chip), and the twin core D525 a much more respectable 727. I agree with you on all counts.
