So it seems that I haven’t updated in quite some time, and I’ve done a few things that I’ve never thought I would have ever done…I’ve bought two Apple products!!!  Wait a minute…didn’t I curse Apple up one side and down the other for the longest time???  I did!  What the hell has come over me?  Quite a few things actually.  So read more to find out why I’m going back on most of what I said about Apple, and find out what I’ve actually bought!

In a shocking relvelation today, Paramount announced exclusivity for HD-DUD only!  This coming completely unexpected.  Not only is Paramount HD-DUD exclusive now, but also Dreamworks, including thier animation studios.  In the next few paragraphs we’re going to go into what this means for the “high-def war”, and what it really means to consumers, as well as BD’s response to this.

So here is part 2 of my time with Linux.  After having spent a good amount of time with Ubuntu, I was VERY impressed.  On the surface it was pretty much like Windows, and could do most things I could in Windows.  Well after that initial stint, I decided to go back to Vista just because I was used to that.  Well, plans changed and I decided to move back to Ubuntu and see how I can really get into it.  So read more to find out how this went. So today was the day that RC1 of Vista officially came out; though it was a different build than I had anticipated.  I had reason to believe the build would be 5584 after a certain birdie let it loose on Messenger.  But for some reason, Mr. Thurrot was right; though that doesn’t say much because I could have guessed the build as the increments were going up by 16.

I have been very excited for this build because this marks where the OS is past beta, and almost final, except for some bugs, and possibly performance enhancements.  I have been jones’in for 64-bit since it was first in beta from MS.  I had been using x64 for awhile, but found two bugs that just pissed me off too much to use.  Continue reading »
